successful food experiments, maybe some cautionary failures too as I update

 

Carob Tahini

one part carob pod, powder, or syrup, one part tahini or raw or roasted sesame seeds, stir with spoon or blend until smooth, also good frozen or heated with frozen fruit

Instant Toast

place slice of fresh or frozen bread directly on stovetop or burner for 5 seconds, flip and repeat, do not look away unless you want instant fire, also good with hummus for “grilled cheese”

Protein Hummus  

still trying new variations on this, four parts plain pea protein powder, two parts water, optional one part tahini and one part plain psyllium powder, season with cumin, olive oil, fresh lemon and garlic, salt and pepper to taste, stir or blend until smooth, add nutritional yeast for a “cheese” flavor or try subbing BBQ, Mexican, Italian seasoning or other spice blends for international variety, throw in a habanero or some jalapeños to spice it up, serve cool with fresh vegetables or spread between instant toast for “grilled cheese”, mix with salsa and serve chilled with tortilla chips for “queso”, fry with peppers onions mushrooms and fennel seeds for “Philly”, add more water to “scramble”, bakes well with pasta and oil for a creamy chewy mozzarelly texture, top with coconut or almond flour for “grated topping”

Cornbread

 

“Ice-Cream”

one part oats, one part raisins or dates, one part chilled water or fruit juice, blend on hi with flavor of choice, I’ve added one part fresh strawberries, carob powder, peanut butter, pumpkin and cinnamon, raspberries, mango, lime, etc, pour in ice cream maker and enjoy or freeze, oatraisinwaterbase remarkably scoopable, bonus topping try raw coconut butter for magic shell
